Back to School and Being Schooled

Preschool BabyI know there are still a few weeks of summer left, and even I am not ready to let this season go. But let’s be honest, there is this distinct feeling that summer is on its last legs.

Last week, I registered the little one for her first ever dance classes. {gasp!}
At the same time, we picked up some labels for her little wee back pack, hoodies and jackets for when she starts Montessori after Labour Day {full-on sob}.

It’s an anxious and exciting time around here. I can’t believe she’s going to be in preschool already.Ā  With these changes coming on, I think I’ve been distracting myself with some continuing education of my own.Ā  I’ve got ambitious plans this fall – partly to stop myself from being a puddle of sobbing mess that my little baby is testing her tiny wings for flight away from the nest, and also because I’m an inherent nerd and I don’t like to be bored.

Besides some projects lined up (woot!), I am working on rebranding my little corporation so that the personal blog and photography business will have a more cohesive branding and message. I am also adding on a work endeavour, one that will allow me to help other creatives with their own business challenges. I know – it sounds so business-y and corporate. But trust me, it’s not that boring. It’s actually pretty exciting and a pretty sound venture, with the administrative experience and creative background that I have incurred.

In the time being, I’ll be jotting down outlines and notes from several courses that I will be taking in the next few months. My brain may explode from information overload, but I’ll only be better for it.

Going Back to Being Schooled

Stay tuned for exciting news and on-goings around here; I’ll share them with you as they are about to happen.

What about you? Are you doing anything different this fall? Are you going back to school, finishing up a course or changing careers? If not, what are you most looking forward to after the summer?

  1. Love this! I, too, have just rebranded and decided to take a crack at taking my business full time! I look forward to the usual things about fall: warmth & food. šŸ™‚

  2. You’re one of a kind, Aggie! I think most people would just stop learning right after they burned through their high school/college books. It’s amazing to see how determined you are to learn more new things, because then you can be the big talker of the party and share your experiences. šŸ™‚

    I’m kinda curious to know, what did you learn from “the right brain”? Haha that book sounds interesting. šŸ˜€
